Are you skilled in supervising construction crews and managing projects? Versasport is currently seeking a Recreation Construction Foreman to join our team! Our ideal candidate has experience working with Heavy Equipment and hands-on experience leading a construction site.

Based in Wichita, KS, Versasport is dedicated to designing and building premium outdoor recreation spaces for communities and organizations in Kansas and beyond. We specialize in custom playgrounds, playground surfacing, and shade structures for commercial outdoor spaces. Our team takes pride in offering quality solutions for our clients from the design to completed build.

This position does require 15-20 weeks of out of state travel, limited to a Monday-Friday basis with weekends at home.

What you would be working on:

As the Recreation Construction Foreman, you will be the "pilot" of the job site.

Lead and supervise the construction crew, coordinating all daily tasks and site assignments.
Direct the implementation of project plans and schedules.
Ensure that workers follow safety protocols and procedures.
Take ownership of maintaining accurate records for materials, tools, and work progress.
Resolve issues or concerns raised by workers independently, escalating high-level project matters to company leadership as needed.
Provide mentorship and guidance to workers, ensuring clear understanding of tasks and quality expectations.
Own the quality of work to ensure every detail meets or exceeds project standards.
Supervise and manage Assistant Foremen and Crew Members, taking full charge of site operations.
Serve as the primary on-site point of contact for customers, managing communication and project updates professionally.

What will help you be successful:

Proven experience in construction site supervision with a strong understanding of construction management principles
Knowledge of contracts, budgeting, and construction estimating processes
Expertise in interpreting complex blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings with high precision.
Experience operating heavy machinery and the ability to train and supervise others.
Familiarity with OSHA safety regulations and quality control procedures
Leadership skills with a track record of directing large-scale projects from start to finish.
Excellent communication skills for coordinating teams and stakeholders effectively.
Strong computer and technical skills. Experience working in Sketchup is a plus. Experience working with GPS Layout systems is a plus.
Experience in project scheduling, managing budgets, and ensuring adherence to project timelines
