Assistant Construction Foreman

Job Description:

Are you skilled in supervising construction crews and managing projects? Versasport is currently seeking an Assistant Construction Foreman to join our team! Our ideal candidate has experience working with Heavy Equipment and CAD softwares in addition to hands-on experience leading a construction site.

Based in Wichita, KS, Versasport is dedicated to designing and building premium outdoor recreation spaces for communities and organizations in Kansas and beyond. We specialize in custom playgrounds, playground surfacing, and shade structures for commercial outdoor spaces. Our team takes pride in offering quality solutions for our clients from the design to completed build.

This position does require 15-20 weeks of out of state travel, limited to a Monday-Friday basis with weekends at home.

What you would be working on:

Assist the Lead Foreman in supervising the construction crew and coordinating daily tasks.
Help in the implementation of project plans and schedules.
Ensure that workers follow safety protocols and procedures.
Support in maintaining accurate records of materials, tools, and work progress.
Address any issues or concerns raised by workers and escalate them to the Lead Foreman if necessary.
Provide guidance and support to workers, ensuring that they understand their tasks.
Monitor the quality of work to ensure it meets project standards.
Stand in for the Lead Foreman during their absence, taking charge of the site operations.
Be in communication with customer as directed by the Foreman

What will help you be successful:

Proven experience in construction site supervision with a strong understanding of construction management principles
Knowledge of contracts, budgeting, and construction estimating processes
Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately
Experience operating heavy machinery
Familiarity with OSHA safety regulations and quality control procedures
Strong management skills with supervising experience on large-scale projects or pipelines
Excellent communication skills for coordinating teams and stakeholders effectively
Experience working with CAD Softwares
Experience working with GPS Layout systems.
Experience in project scheduling, managing budgets, and ensuring adherence to project timelines
